    Plant: This  aromatic bushy perennial herb grows mainly along the coastal regions of South Africa. It has small hairy silvery green leaves with yellow cluster flowers.

    Uses: It is an important plant to the shamans of Southern African or Sangoma.  Where the smoke is used in ritual to invoke trance and to connect with the ancestral guardians. It is traditionally used for its sedative properties for insomnia, to relieve headaches and tension as well as for coughs, colds, fever and headaches. It has powerful antibacterial and antiviral properties, making it an essential in a first-aid kit to treat insect bites and even spider, scorpion and snake bites.
